“I am fiercely motivated to combine my compassionate nature with my creativity, and never stop working towards a world changing for the better.”
“Since graduating in 2015 I have set up my own ethical knitwear label, and have recently specialised in Alpaca scarves, I have used techniques from hand knitting and domestic machine knitting to digital knit, and have sourced my alpaca wool from a Fairtrade organisation in Peru, as well as sustainably sourced British Alpaca, slaughter-free Wensleydale, and worked with an organic dye factory on the dye of bespoke colours for my collection. Prior to this during my studies, I completed several accessories projects, including my ‘Earth of Terrain’ menswear accessories project where I started to really identify with my design aesthetic, the project was inspired by the colours of the earth within terrains from south America to the Shetland Isles, bag shapes from the papoose to the coal sack, and the traditional hap shawl, reimagined in felted wools evoking the rugged textures of the landscape. This project was the catalyst for my signature landscape inspired knitwear.”
